How Unstrat is held to account.
Export control, end-use certification and corporate governance underpin every engagement.
Governance principles
Export control confirmed before representation
Unstrat establishes the export-control position of a capability before it is offered to a market: not after. The handling, storage and documentation each destination market requires are confirmed up front, so every transfer is governed and defensible from the outset.
End-use certification on every engagement
Classification and the end-user-certificate chain are confirmed before any capability is represented. An end-user certificate confirms the final recipient and the intended use of a controlled item, ensuring capability is not diverted to an unintended party.
Independent and non-aligned by design
Unstrat represents manufacturers that are not tied to any major-power ecosystem, so capability carries no major-power disclosure rules, upgrade-locks or political conditions. Accountability sits with the buyer.
One accountable channel
A single team is responsible from first briefing through delivery and in-region sustainment, rather than a chain of hand-offs between manufacturers, integrators and agents.
Policy summaries
Summaries of the standards Unstrat holds itself and its engagements to. These are statements of policy and commitment, not compliance credentials; specific programme obligations are set out at contract.
Anti-bribery & anti-corruption
Unstrat does not offer, pay, solicit or accept bribes, kickbacks or improper inducements in any form, whether directly or through third parties. Commissions and fees are transparent and contractual, and staff and representatives are expected to decline anything that could improperly influence a procurement decision.
Sanctions screening
Prospective buyers, partners and end users are screened against applicable sanctions and restricted-party designations before an engagement proceeds. Where a party or destination is restricted, Unstrat does not proceed. Screening is revisited when circumstances or designations change.
Export control
The export-control position and classification of a capability are established before it is offered to a market, not after. Unstrat represents capability only where lawful transfer to the destination is achievable, and the licences, handling and documentation each transfer requires are confirmed up front.
End-use compliance
Engagements involving controlled items are governed by end-user-certificate verification confirming the final recipient and intended use. Unstrat represents capability for legitimate government, government-adjacent and enterprise use, and does not facilitate diversion to an unintended party or use.
Conflict of interest
Actual and potential conflicts of interest are expected to be disclosed and managed rather than concealed. Unstrat structures engagements so that advice on capability selection is made on the buyer's requirement, and any interest that could affect impartiality is declared.
Human rights
Unstrat expects capability it represents to be used lawfully and consistently with respect for human rights. Engagements that carry a clear and serious risk of contributing to human-rights abuses are declined, and this consideration forms part of the eligibility and end-use review.
Supplier & partner conduct
Manufacturers, partners and agents are expected to uphold the same standards on anti-bribery, sanctions, export control and end-use that Unstrat applies to itself. These expectations are reflected in the terms under which Unstrat represents and works with them.
Privacy & data protection
Unstrat collects only the information needed to respond to an enquiry and arrange a briefing, uses it solely for that purpose, and does not sell it. Enquiries and programme information are treated in confidence and shared only with those who need them to progress an engagement.
Whistleblowing
Staff, partners and third parties are encouraged to raise concerns about suspected wrongdoing or breaches of these commitments. Concerns raised in good faith are treated seriously and confidentially, and retaliation against anyone who raises a concern is not tolerated.
Responsible sales
Capability is matched to a legitimate, lawful requirement rather than pushed to close a sale. Unstrat declines engagements where eligibility, end-use or the export-control position cannot be satisfied, and does not overstate what a capability can do.
