The Defence Power Group

Land

Profile

The Defence Power Group designs, develops and manufactures advanced systems for defence and industrial applications, backed by more than 35 years of group manufacturing depth and over 400,000 installations deployed, with a presence in more than 20 countries across three continents. Its defence power line spans auxiliary power units for tanks, armoured vehicles, missile handlers and radar systems, and diesel generating sets from 2 kW tactical units to 800 kW installations, in service with a national army, navy and air force, and the sole qualified vendor for a national navy's 400/500 kW dual-frequency generating set programme. The group also builds cold-storage and controlled-atmosphere systems for food security and strategic-reserve programmes. Its generating-set business holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, and design, simulation, qualification, manufacture and field support sit inside one organisation.

Represented exclusively to government and enterprise buyers through Unstrat: the single, accountable channel from first briefing to in-region sustainment. Engagements involving controlled capabilities are governed by classification review and end-user-certificate verification.

We name the manufacturer in direct conversations, not on the public site.

Positioning

This maker engineers the power a defence installation actually depends on: auxiliary power units for armoured platforms and military generating sets qualified against JSS and MIL standards, alongside the cold-chain infrastructure that keeps a nation supplied when supply lines are disrupted.

Why through Unstrat

Power and reserves are the quiet dependencies of every defence programme. Through Unstrat, these systems would be specified against the customer's own standard, delivered with a written compliance position, and sustained in-region by one accountable team.

Portfolio in depth

The defence power line has two centres of gravity. Vehicle auxiliary power units keep an armoured platform's radios, sights, sensors and climate systems alive without running the main engine: compact, ruggedised packs delivering electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic power to tanks, infantry combat vehicles, mounted gun systems, missile handlers and radar installations, qualified against military environmental and electromagnetic standards and available in variants rated for high-altitude operation. Military diesel generating sets cover the static and deployable side, from 2 kW tactical units a section can move to 800 kW installations powering radar sites, command posts and bases, engineered for the silence, electromagnetic discipline and fuel logistics that military use imposes and civilian gensets ignore. The group's third line is strategic rather than electrical: cold-storage and controlled-atmosphere systems for food security and strategic-reserve programmes, the infrastructure that decides how long a nation can feed itself when supply lines are disrupted.

How an engagement runs

Power engagements are specification-driven in a way most procurement is not, because the equipment must integrate with platforms and standards the buyer already owns. Work begins from the customer's own standard, whether a military environmental specification, an electromagnetic-compatibility requirement or a naval power-quality regime, and the proposal arrives with a written compliance position rather than a brochure claim, so deviations are visible before contract rather than discovered at acceptance. Design, simulation, qualification, manufacture and field support sit inside one organisation, which matters when a qualification test raises a design question: the loop closes in weeks, not across a subcontractor chain. Acceptance testing follows the buyer's protocol, and sustainment is planned around operating hours and climate, with operator and technician training delivered so first-line maintenance stays in the buyer's hands. Local assembly and related sovereignty arrangements are scoped per programme, subject to export controls and end-use approvals.

What buyers weigh

Power failures are force-multiplier failures: the radar that drops, the command post that goes dark, the missile handler that cannot traverse are all upstream of one generating set. Buyers therefore weigh, first, qualified reliability, meaning performance proven against military standards in heat, dust, vibration and electromagnetic clutter, not commercial duty cycles relabelled. Second, signature: a generator that is loud or electromagnetically dirty advertises the position it powers. Third, fleet logic: powering vehicles, bases and installations from one supplier's range simplifies spares, training and fuel planning across an entire force. Fourth, institutional depth: a group with decades of manufacture and hundreds of thousands of installations deployed has seen its designs fail in every way the field can arrange, and engineered the lessons in. And for the reserves line, the measure is blunter still: cold-chain infrastructure either holds temperature through a crisis or the reserve it protected was an accounting entry.

Why route it through Unstrat

Unstrat is the authorised global representative and distributor for the capabilities on this page. Each one is already in service with a track record behind it, so what reaches you has done the job elsewhere. You are not the test bed for a fresh startup.

A UAE representative sits between you and the maker

Buy through a UAE-based representative and the contract carries third-party legal defence, so a dispute is not you against a foreign manufacturer in its own courts.

Consolidated volume earns the best rates available anywhere, and the same standing gets equipment moved and delivered when a direct order would sit in a queue.

The jurisdiction the deal lands in is one your legal and procurement teams can actually work with, rather than whatever the manufacturer's home country would have imposed.
