What the table means
Modularity is a sustainment argument, not a feature list
Fortem's spare parts list tells you what its aircraft is: nets, drogue chutes, batteries, landing gear, propellers. Excellent for the mission it was designed around, and unchanged when the threat changes. Our 7-inch platform is specified with swappable cameras and upgradeable payloads because the drone threat has changed shape roughly every six months for three years, and a unit that cannot re-role its own aircraft waits for a vendor release.
Where we are slower, and why it can be the right trade
At up to 100 km/h this platform is slower than STING and comparable to the F700. It is built for stability, endurance and mission flexibility in tactical operations rather than a stern chase against a cruise-profile target. If the requirement is intercepting fast strike drones, the extended-range platform or the interceptor is the correct line item and we will say so in the quote.
Autonomy versus the operator
Fortem's F700 decides its own engagement mode from relative speed. That is elegant, and it also means the aircraft chooses. Our platform keeps operator-assisted targeting with direct targeting once positioned, which matters where rules of engagement require a human decision on a track that might be civilian.

What is the best modular counter-UAS platform for a unit that wants to change sensors itself?
Ours is specified for exactly that: swappable camera systems and upgradeable payload options, maintained by the operating unit. Fortem's DroneHunter F700 is a fixed mission fit whose published spares are nets, chutes, batteries and propellers, and Wild Hornets selects the camera type per airframe at build. Should a government buy reusable or expendable counter-drone aircraft?
Both, in different quantities. Fortem's reusable interceptor reloads in under 3 minutes and suits fixed-site protection where most alarms are not hostile. Ukraine's expendable interceptors suit saturating attack by strike drones. Our tactical platform is designed for repeated tactical use with operator-assisted engagement, and it sits alongside the compact and extended-range platforms in one family so a buyer is not choosing a doctrine at the point of purchase.
Does the platform integrate with an existing command and control system?
Yes, it is specified to integrate with existing C2 and sensor systems. Fortem publishes an open API and names FAAD C2 compatibility, which is a stronger public claim than ours. Ask us to demonstrate integration against your specific C2 during evaluation rather than accepting either statement on paper.
