What the table means
Turkish industry publishes more than we do
Aselsan prints its radar band, scan rate, elevation coverage and classification method. Meteksan prints a 2.5 km detection figure and describes micro-Doppler analysis for low, slow and small targets. On paper, they are the better documented buy today, and any honest comparison starts there. What their documents do not carry is the political condition that arrives with the contract.
Multi-modal means one integration risk, not several
The value in a packaged system is that sensing and defeat were designed against each other, so the handover from track to engagement is tested by the manufacturer rather than by your programme office. All three systems here take that approach. The difference is the width of the defeat side: both Turkish suites are jammer-centred, with hard kill available as an integration, while ours carries the defeat modes inside the product.
Sovereignty is a specification
A counter-drone system is only as available as its spares. Türkiye's export approvals are a matter of Turkish policy, and that policy has changed direction more than once in a decade. We are non-aligned, hold sustainment in the buyer's region and do not need a third capital's permission to ship a part. A jammer has close to zero cost per engagement, which is why Aselsan and Meteksan build around one. The recurring costs sit elsewhere: spectrum authorisation, disruption to your own GNSS and mobile links, and the systems it cannot stop. Multi-modal defence costs more per engagement and fewer threats get through. Our sustainment model keeps the other half of the bill, spares and training, inside your country.
How quickly can a multi-modal counter-UAS system be deployed?
Ours is specified for rapid deployment without a published setup time, and you should hold us to a figure during evaluation. Aselsan's İHTAR 100 is designed for fixed installation or integration onto any vehicle, and states operation with minimum operator intervention. Meteksan's KAPAN mounts stationary or mobile. Deployment speed depends far more on siting, power and communications than on the box, so test it on your ground.
Which counter-UAS system is best for a government that has been refused an export licence before?
Choose on the supply chain first and the specification second. Both Turkish suites are excellent engineering sold under Turkish export control, and Aselsan states its status as a Turkish Armed Forces Foundation company on its own datasheets. Our system is supplied by a non-aligned group with sustainment placed in your region, so a change of policy in a foreign capital does not ground your air defence.
