Best portable drone detector for soldiers

Do drone detectors also jam drones?

Usually not. Wingman, RfPatrol Mk2 and Dedrone's RF-360 all detect and localise only; each vendor sells the defeat capability separately, as the Pitbull 101 for MyDefence and the DroneGun Mk4 for DroneShield. Ours is also a detection item, but the effectors it cues sit in the same counter-UAS line, so nobody is integrating two suppliers under fire.

What does the manpack weigh, how long does the battery last, and what temperature range is it rated to?

We do not publish carried weight, battery endurance or an environmental rating for the manpack, and you should treat that as a gap to close in writing before contract. The wider counter-UAS line is stated as -20 °C to +50 °C. For benchmarking: RfPatrol Mk2 is 800 g and tested to -32 °C at IP67, Wingman is 840 g to 1,110 g and rated to -30 °C at IP67, and Dedrone's RF-360 is 7.0 kg at IP65. If you operate in Arctic or high-altitude conditions, demand the tested envelope from every vendor including us.

Can dismounted RF detection see a drone that is not transmitting?

RF sensing detects emissions, so an autonomous drone flying silently on a pre-set route is the hard case for every wearable and manpack in this class. That is a limitation of the sensing principle, not of one vendor. The answer at site level is layered detection with radar and optical confirmation, which is what the fixed and pod-mounted parts of our line provide; the manpack contributes coverage where those sensors cannot reach.
